In terms of materials, welded pipe moulds are generally made of cold working mould steel, such as SKD11 and Cr12MoV. However, hot working die steel is also used in some parts, such as welded joint dies, high frequency machine welded pipe moulds, and some of the welded joint parts are already made of H13 hot working mould steel. From the customer's feedback, the effect of using H13 is better than the conventional one.

In terms of the shape design of welded pipe mould, there are two kinds of mold design: flat mold and sub mold. Flat mold is not as easy to use as sub mold in the early stage of use, because the sub mold can be used directly to the card, which will make it feel better. However, as time goes on, the welded pipe mold will be worn to a certain extent, so the later use of sub mold is not so easy, which is not convenient.
